INTRODUCTION
Muslims relocating to new suburbs or to other parts of the world from traditional areas has thrown new challenges to these fledging communities.
The two important issues are Masjid and Madressah. Children from these areas
mostly attend Model C or private schools, where a lot of emphasis is placed on extra-mural activities resulting in minimal time for Madressah.
Madressah cannot start early (2: 30/ 3:00) in fact much later. The Madressah might only operate 3 -4 days a
week. Everybody also does not live within the vicinity of the Masjid or Madressah. Combined classes resulting in teachers unable to cope with 2-3 textbooks per class.
